Fayette Philharmonic Youth Orchestra
Mrs. Kelly Gallman is the Orchestra Director and AP Music Theory teacher at Sandy Creek High School. She is in her tenth year in Fayette County and also serves as the Sandy Creek Fine Arts Department Chair and Fayette County Middle School All-County Chairperson. Her previous teaching experiences were in Brevard County, Florida, from 1994-2007, and Flat Rock Middle School 2007-2016. She is a professional violinist and has performed with The LaGrange Symphony, Albany Symphony, Savannah Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Brevard Symphony, Space Coast Pops Orchestra, Southern Crescent Symphony, and many freelance gigs such as Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Pat and Debbie Boone, Rosemary Clooney, Josh Groban, Clay Aiken, Harry Connick Jr., Joshua Bell, and Itzhak Perlman, as well as many weddings. She began teaching a summer strings camp in 1995 and continues camp every
summer. Her orchestras have repeatedly received Superior and Excellent ratings at festival events.
She attended Columbus College (now Columbus State University) in Columbus, GA, and graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida in 1993. She earned her Master of Music Education degree from the University of Florida in August 2015. She currently resides in Fayetteville with her husband Steven and two dogs. Her son Justin is now attending Montclair State University as a Music Performance and Political Science Major with minors in International Relations and Economics.
She is a huge Walking Dead fan, NASCAR fan, Gone With the Wind collector, Winnie the Pooh fan, and DIYer. She is dedicated to her students and their musical growth as an integral part of their rise to adulthood.
