Angelia Davis has led a successful career with 20 years conducting experience and 18 years teaching experience. She has taught students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has a Bachelors in Music Performance with an emphasis on Double Bass from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Music Education degree from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University.
Before joining Flat Rock Middle School in Aug, 2019, she held a position at Northside High School and Hardaway High School in Columbus, Georgia where she taught Orchestra and International Baccalaureate (IB) Music classes. She served as the Assistant Director of Orchestral Activities for the Lagrange Youth Symphony Orchestra. Outside of the classroom, she has served as both the District 3 Chairperson and Secretary for the Georgia Music Educators Association and chaired and hosted District 3 Honor Orchestra for 10 years.
Ms. Davis has a passion for both teaching and music and exposes her students to a wide variety of music literature. She makes her classes enjoyable for students while also providing the necessary tool for her students to achieve a superior quality orchestral performance. Students under her direction have consistently participated in numerous state sanctioned events and have consistently earned superior ratings.
